On Monday 9/28/2020 Hilol(Solutions) Centre for future
studies organized an electronic seminar on the draft law against domestic violence via zoom platform.
More than 50 people participated in this symposium,including numbers of the Iraqi Parliament,senior officials in the Iraqi government ,university professors and activists in civil society organizations.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmed Ramadan,Assistant presidents of Bayan Universirt for Admiistration and students Affairs,also participated in an intervention on the obstacles which prevent the enactment of this law ,which continues to raise a
Lively debate in various IIraqi Parliament 12 years ago indicating the best ways to facilitate the enactment of this law from the I raqi Parliament .
Since the assistant president of our university is the only participant from the universities of Kurdistan Region in Iraq ,but the only participant from the region in the symposium ,the organizers of this seminar took the opportunity and asked him to shed light on the region’s experience in enacting and implementing the law against domestic violence,which he did during this seminar which lasted an hour and a half.
