In this series of workshops the Office of Vice President for Scientific Affairs (VPS) holding a workshop on Curriculum Development, New Coursebook for Semester-based, the New Course Codes and Standardised Course Titles which are import elements of academic community engagement in the new BNU strategy.

The workshop will tackle the various aspects of curriculum development which includes an individual teacher's curriculum, for example, would be the specific learning standards, lessons, assignments, and materials used to organise and teach a particular course. The Curriculum refers to the content, learning experiences, materials, assessments, and so on that students and teachers engage with to achieve prescribed educational outcomes.

The Curriculum is a total guided learning experience designed to facilitate learners learning for establishing a quality relationship between what is learnt and what operates outside the school. The materials, lessons, and academic content taught in school for the purpose of achieving targeted educational outcomes.

The Workshop covers, in particular, the concept of possible learning outcomes of a curriculum which define that as statements that describe significant and essential learning that learners have achieved, and can demonstrate at the end of a course or program. Furthermore, the learning outcomes are identified what the learner will know and be able to do by the end of a course or program. Also is to make it clear to the students what they are expected to achieve as a result of completing a course.

We take you through the new format for our Course-Book form and what each section means. BNU is reviewing all the course titles to standardise them and provide them with new codes. At the same time, the core concept of the Bologna Process is discussed thoroughly and how the new semester-based becomes important for such implementation.
