Our university participates in the workshop of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region 

Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region, the Ministry held a workshop on accreditation standards in higher education in Kurdistan on Wednesday (5/6/2024), in which university presidents, their assistants, deans of faculties, directors of quality assurance in public and private universities in the region, and experts in the field of accreditation and quality assurance in the region and abroad participated. 

At the kind invitation of the Ministry, His Excellency the President of the University, Assistant Professor Dr. Ezzedine Ahmed Aziz, the Assistant President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Ramadan, and Mrs. Eng. Shilan Shaker Qadir, Head of the English Language Department at the University, participated in the workshop. 
In the opening session of the workshop, Dr. Muhammad Hussein Ke Lari, Head of the Supervision and Quality Assurance Authority at the Ministry, gave a welcoming speech to the attendees, then Dr. Huna R. Issa, Secretary General of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Kurdistan.

Then the participants were divided into eight groups, each group included a number of university presidents, their assistants, deans of faculties and directors of quality assurance in public and private universities in the region, in addition to experts and specialists in accreditation and quality assurance in the region and abroad, and each group was assigned to discuss the themes related to the workshop regarding higher education institutions, namely: mission and objectives, governance and structure, academic programs, students, teaching staff.Teaching and learning, human, financial, informational, material and technical resources, evaluation of education outcomes, transparency and integrity, introducing the public to the institution.

After extensive discussions between the members of each group, the representative of each group submitted the proposals of the members of the group to develop and enhance accreditation in the field of higher education in the region, after which a serious and frank discussion was held among the attendees, leading to the submission of written proposals to those in charge of the workshop for future application.
