On Friday ,10/16/2020 Dr. Muhammad Ahmad. Ramadan, Assistant President of Bayan University for Administration and Student Affairs, participated in the symposium held by the Iraq University College via the Internet and through the zoom app about (the role of universities in qualifying graduates for the jobs of the digital age).
Prof. Dr. Rami Hikmat Al-Hadithi, a professor at the University of Bradford in Britain, delivered a valuable and discreet lecture in which he highlighted the end of the information age and the beginning of the age of skills, and that students need not to inject a huge amount of information to them, but rather to equip them with the required skills to find jobs for them in the labor market in this era. Digital in the twenty-first century, and the researcher pointed to what was raised in the World Economic Forum that 65% of students who are now in primary education will work in jobs that do not exist now, and that 50% of work will become automated. More than 100 academic and professional personalities from inside and outside Iraq participated in the symposium. The symposium lasted two hours, before its conclusion, certificates were sent electronically to the participants.
