( Our University Organize an International Scientific Conference by Cooperation with Kurdistanian,Iraqi and International Universities and Academic Foundations about Humanitarian and Scientific Capacity Building)

On Wednesday 12/7/2022, our university (Bayan University - Erbil) organized an International Scientific Conference on building scientific and human capabilities and prospects for their development under the slogan (Integration is the basis of knowledge) at the Sheraton Hotel (Erbil International Hotel). The Conference was in cooperation with Salahaddin University – Erbil, University of Sulaymaniyah, University of Babylon, University of Tikrit, Al-Qasim Green University, International Academy for Capacity Building / Iraq Office, together for a Better Life Foundation for Human and Community Development.
The opening session took place in the Shaqlawa Hall in the Sheraton Hotel, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then the Iraqi national anthem and the Kurdistan anthem (ay Raqib) were played, with a minute of silence to mourn the souls of the martyrs. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Sihama Al-Qaisi delivered the speech of head of the Iraq office of the International Academy for Capacity Building then it came the speech of Prof. Dr. Kamran Younis Muhammad Amin, President of Salahaddin University - Erbil, and the speech of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, President of Bayan University – Erbil. Additionally, the speech of the President of Tikrit University, delivered on his behalf by Dr. Bassem Saleh Hussein, the Dean of the College of Education for Girls at Tikrit University, and the speech of Dr. Yassin Al-Ithawi, member of the Iraqi Parliament and former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq. Moreover, the Bayan University awarded some of the guests and academic figures by presenting them with Bayan University shields.
In the first session of the Conference, which was keynote speaker Dr. Intithar Al-Jubouri (from Al-Mustansiriya University) as chairperson of the session and Dr. Samira Attia (from Al-Mustansiriya University) as coordinator of the session. Four diverse research papers were presented to university professors and academic researchers from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and outside Iraq.
Furthermore, the second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Muzaffar Ali (from Salahaddin University), and M. Nazir Mahmoud Amin (from Bayan University - Erbil) was the rapporteur, four lectures were also delivered by university professors and academic researchers from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
At the end of each of the two sessions, the Conference attendees’ and lecturers discussed and deliberated the presented researches. On the other side of the conference, a symposium was held, as well as a plastic exhibition by Dr. Raouf Imad Abdel Salam Al-Attar, and another exhibition of fashion design by Mrs. Enas Khalaf Muhammad.
The Conference was attended by members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, administrative officials, university presidents, deans of colleges from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, presidents, officials of the Teachers Union, the Women's Union, the Students Union in the Kurdistan Region, the consuls of some foreign countries, officials and heads of some non-governmental organizations, and a large number of university professors and those concerned with the subject of the conference, some of the participants were from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and some from outside.
At the end of the Conference, the researchers and members of the Conference committees, who had an active role in preparing the Conference and its success arranging, were praised by the attendees and Conference observers certificates of appreciation and awards of distinction and creativity.
