The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region attends the Higher Education Forum in the Kurdistan Region and Jordan, and our university participates in attending the forum
His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Masrour Barzani, and His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Region, Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir, attended, on Sunday (5/5/2024), the Higher Education Forum in the Kurdistan Region and Jordan, which was attended by delegations from about (55) public and private universities from the Kurdistan Region and more than (20) public and private universities from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. A delegation from our university, headed by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Salam Muhammad Saeed Al-Hayali, Chairman of the esteemed Board of Trustees, His Excellency Dr. Hossam El-Din Muhammad Saeed Al-Hayali, Vice Chairman of the Authority, His Excellency Assistant Professor Dr. Ezzedine Ahmed Aziz and Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Ramadan, Assistant President of the University, participated in attending this forum, which is the first of its kind in the region.
In his speech, Mr. Masrour Barzani pointed out that (the upgrading and advancement of our educational and academic institutions is one of the most important priorities of our work) and that we look forward to the cooperation of our university with us in finding innovative solutions to the problems, crises and obstacles facing us) and expressed the hope that (this forum will yield tangible results and recommendations that contribute to the development of the process of higher education in the Kurdistan Region).His Excellency Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region, delivered a speech at this forum and signed an agreement with Dr. Mamoun Al-Doubi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan, where the agreement included the development of various aspects of academic cooperation between the two ministries.
The first day of this forum, which will last for (4) days, also witnessed the presentation of seminars and debates from university presidents and academic officials in the Kurdistan Region and Jordan on (the reality of higher education in the Kurdistan Region), (the reality of higher education in Jordan), (quality assurance of higher education) and (modern trends in higher education and the requirements of the labor market).
Our university delegation held talks with some presidents of Jordanian universities, and it is scheduled that on Monday (6/5/2024), memorandums of understanding will be signed between our university and Jordanian universities.
