Careers
Preparation for work: CVs, interviews, internships and employer contact.
The Career Development Centre works with students from the middle of the degree, not the end of it. Its job is to make the step out of the university a planned one.
What it offers
- CV and application review, individually
- Interview practice, including technical interviews by subject
- Placement and internship listings, and help approaching an employer directly
- Workshops on the skills employers ask about and graduates say they lacked
- The annual job fair, and employer visits through the year
It also keeps in touch with graduates through the alumni network, which is how the centre knows what the market is actually asking for. Current vacancies at the university itself are listed under Careers.
