The office a student goes to when something outside the classroom needs sorting.
Student Services is the first place to ask when the answer is not academic: a card that needs replacing, a letter for a landlord or an embassy, a clash between a job and a timetable, a problem at home that is affecting study.
The office also runs the student representation structure, handles complaints that a department could not resolve, and coordinates the clubs and societies.
Nothing brought to the office is passed to a department without the student's agreement, except where the university is obliged to act. If you are unsure whether something belongs here, ask — being sent to the right door is part of the service.
