Admissions
What happens in the first week, and what to bring.
Induction runs in the week before teaching begins and is where a new student stops being an applicant. It is not optional: registration is completed during it, and the student card and account are issued at the end.
What the week covers
- Completing registration and collecting the student card
- Meeting the department, the programme director and the academic adviser
- A tour of the library, the laboratories and the student services office
- The study regulations, the attendance rule and academic integrity
- Setting up the university account used for the e-library and email
Bring your identity document and the acceptance letter. If you cannot attend on the published day, tell the Registrar's Office in advance — a missed induction has to be made up before you can be registered.
